Court of Protection

If you find yourself in the difficult position of having to deal with the affairs of a loved one who has lost mental capacity it might be necessary for you to make an application to the Court of Protection. This can be a time consuming and costly procedure and you might find yourself in the position of being unable to provide the information needed without having the authority to obtain it. We can act for you in this process and try to alleviate some of the burden on you during a difficult time.

The types of Deputyship Order which the Court of Protection can make do vary and it is important to ensure that correct application is made so that the Order will serve its purpose.

The current Court fee for an application of this type is £400. In addition, the Court assess legal fees to be £950 plus VAT.
