We offer fixed fee residential conveyancing. This fee covers all of the legal work that we carry out on your behalf from instruction to completion of the transaction. In addition, there will be disbursements payable such as stamp duty, search fees and Land Registry fees. Please telephone our office on 0191 5689000 for your personal estimate.
Our fees in respect of uncontested probate matters are based on our hourly rates as listed below. In addition the following disbursements will be payable:-
- Probate Fee £155.00
- Oath Fee £7.00 per executor
- Bankruptcy fee £2.00 per beneficiary
- Advertising fees
- Any further disbursements which may be incurred during the transaction.
Employment Tribunals (Unfair/Wrongful dismissal)
Employment Tribunal work is largely based upon hourly rates as listed below. In addition any disbursements incurred during the matter will be payable. We offer a fixed fee of £1,000.00 plus VAT to represent clients for a one day Employment Tribunal Hearing for unfair dismissal.
Debt Recovery (up to £100,000)
Debt recovery matters are based on our hourly rates as listed below. In addition, Court fees are payable and are based upon value of the debt. These disbursements can range from £35.00 – 5% of the value of the claim.
Licensing Applications (Business Premises)
Our charges for licensing advice and applications are based upon time spent at our hourly rates (see below).
For example, a straightforward application for a new Premises Licence would cost between £500.00 and £1,000.00 plus VAT.
In addition, a fee is payable to the Licensing Department of the Council based upon a scale determined by the rateable value of the property (see link below).
Fees will be payable for advertising at the premises and in local newspapers and are likely to be approximately £350.00.
All other matters will be charged in accordance with the hourly rate of the conducting fee earner as set out below. The rate may vary in which case you will be notified in advance.
(letters, emails and telephone calls are charged at one tenth of the hourly rate).
We reserve the right to charge an uplift in cases of significant complexity, urgency or value. We will notify you if it becomes apparent that an uplift will apply in your case. At outset an estimate of the overall cost of your case will be provided in your Client Care Letter.
