Vacancy – Conveyancing Secretary
We are looking to recruit an experienced conveyancing secretary to work at our Sunderland office, on a part time basis initially but with the possibility to increase to full time hours, if required.
You will be joining a busy conveyancing department and the main duties and responsibilities will include:
- drafting Contracts, Transfers and SDLT Returns and submitting registrations via HMLR Portal
- audio typing, filing, photocopying and other administrative duties which may be required from time to time
You must be able to work to the high standards and requirements of Lexcel and CQS.
We are seeking someone who has previously worked as a conveyancing secretary and is able to work with minimal support. You must be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good IT and word processing skills. Knowledge of the Money Laundering Regulations would be beneficial.

WILL AID – we are pleased to announce that we are helping raise funds for charity after signing up to Will Aid once again. We have signed up to the scheme which runs throughout November 2020. We raised £3,665 for the nine charities involved last time we participated in the scheme. We are very excited to be involved in the Will Aid campaign again this year. It gives us an excellent opportunity to reach people in our community who do not have a Will and help them to protect their loved ones for the future. It also means we can raise funds for nine incredible charities.
VACANCY we are looking to recruit a solicitor with a minimum of 3+ PQE with experience and capability in dealing with residential and commercial conveyancing, including new builds, commercial leases and the sale and purchase of business property / assets.
The ideal candidate would also be competent in licensing matters and have the ability to undertake work in the Private Client forum, including drafting Wills, LPAs and dealing with the administration of Estates, although this is not essential.
An immediate start would be available however the vacancy is also to coincide with retirement so the ideal candidate would be required to take on board an already established client base with case load.
Salary to be negotiated upon experience. Full time preferred but part time would be considered for the right candidate.
